Meet Our Staff

MICHELLE PISANI B.App.Sci(Physio), MAPA

Michelle is the founder of the Fighting Fit for Cancer Program. Through her varied exeperience and interest in cancer research she has identified a lack of services in the rehabilitation phase of cancer treatment. Michelle graduated from Sydney University, then worked in a large Sydney Hospital until she went overseas with her husband for two years. She worked in Oncology in Guys Hospital in London, and uses a lot of her experience from this hospital to campaign for an increase in physiotherapy input into oncology patients during and after their hospital stay. Michelle has also worked in rehabilitation, private practice and the community. Her varied experience leads to a wholistic approach to the care of patients. Her compassion and understanding of clients conditions and her positive nature ensures each client feels supported through their rehabiliation from cancer. Michelle also works in lymphoedema and lectures on exercise and cancer.

 

SARAH BOAG B.App.Sci(Physio)

Sarah has been teaching the pilates classes for the Fighting Fit for Cancer program. Sarah graduated from Sydney University where she also worked in a large hospital in Sydney before she went overseas to work and travel. Sarah works in both hospital and private practice settings. Her specialty is back and neck pain and pilates. Her pilates classes involve core strengthening, flexibility, toning and relaxation. Sarah's soft, caring nature and understanding of the human spine makes her a perfect teacher for pilates.
